Does anyone know a site that gives the average tire life of differnet brand and model tires? Does tire rack have it somewhere? I'm looking for a new set and want somethign with exceptional tread life and minimal price. Am willing to compromise grip for now in order to achive the two other traits I want. Any suggestions would be appreciated as well. I have heard that Kuhmo 712's offer amazing tread life. Everyone seems to hate them though. They are the right price as well.:redspot

id like to know the same thing. and about the 712's. i think the tread wear rating was really low (somewhere in the 200's) yet somehow it was still a really hard tire and would last a long time, thus making it a really shitty tire. thats the only good thing i heard about them, everything else is negative. like ride quality and noise

My current tires are Falken 215's so road noise and comfort are not things I am particularly concerned with. If I wanted comfort, I would not be driving what I'm driving. Not that its not comfortable, but there are alot more comfortable cars out there.

Tread life varies widely according to the driver's habits. Some people manage to wear out their Bridgestone S-03s like they're going out of style, but I just had a third set mounted this week after getting 29,000 miles out of my last set and 25,000 miles out of the first set.
The customer reviews on the Tire Rack's Web site may give you a general idea of tread life.

I realize that the way you drive affects it, which is why it is hard to get an idea of how long certain tires will last. But if I can find their actual rating, It will help me decide. I have quite a bit of negative camber so my tires tend to wear out a little bit quicker. I think....and hope that my last set wore out so quickly due to a toe in problem i ended up having. Within the next couple months I hope to have my camber issues under control but for now I want a tire that can take the abuse of negative camber and alot of weight. I dont plan on auto xing or tracking till I get some other things done so I dont have to worry about wear there.
