Ok tonight driving home from work I thought I felt the car pull kind of sharp like I had a flat or something of the nature. Felt like it was pulling a little from the front left but could of been the slope I was on too. Got out at the light left front looked fine (where it was pulling from). Keep going everything seems alright, but I notice the tire pressure warning thing is in Red like a flat (I think thats what it means anyway). I get home I check the pressure on all tires the front was a little low (like 27lbs) but nothing drastic. Any ideas? While I was driving I turned it off and back on and it came back on.

Now the stock continentals are not run flats right?
So there is no denying when you have a flat, I wouldn't of even drove home I would of called for a tow. Anything similar happen to someone else?

The flat tire monitor doesn't alert you when you have a flat ... it alerts you when one tire is below the average acceptable pressure difference of the other tires. 27 is considerably less than the 32-35lbs you were probably running in the rest of the tires ... hence the red light.

red light = warning
yellow light = deactivated

The tire pressure monitoring system just takes an 'average' of the number of times your wheels have rotated for a given distance, and from there extrapolates the diameters each wheels should have. If one is off by enough, the light should go on. I dont know if 27 lbs is low enough, but I guess that depends on what tires you have, and what your other tire pressures are at.

Well the symbol came up on the dashboard, and showed in red.
The manual states

"Flat Tire."
"The indicator lamp in the instrument cluster lights up red. In addition, acoustic signal is sounded. "

Although no tire is flat, hopefully like you said it was just a significant drop in pressure some how. The way the manual terms it, the Red Symbol on the dash and chime means you have a flat tire. You seem to be right on this, hopefully I'll check things out tomm maybe put some air in reset it and give it another go.

I think they termed it "flat tire system" to give it more urgency than the "low tire pressure system".

If you think you have a flat, you'll pull over and check. If you think you are just a couple of lbs low on air, you'll continue driving.

Yeah, I have found this system to be pretty good. I've had it come on a few times, and each time I had a nail or a leak of some sort. I wouldn't have realized since it was the passenger side rear, so it definitely helps. BTW, the pressure in the leaky tire was right around 27psi if I rememeber, so it is doing its job like yours is.
