hello i currently own a bmw x5 01 which has cost me a bundle due to frequent, minor but huge costly problems like windows wont roll up.
and i was lookig at the bmw m3 2006 and wondering if there are any major problems that i might have to look out for or if bmw generally have problems like that (lets hope not) thanks in advance

Most of the problems that the M3 had were in earlier production years....But there were recalls and SBs for them. MY 03.5 and on you really shouldn't have any problems...I thought 05 was the last run, didn't know there was gonna be a 06 model. Get the Comp. Package, wheels and steering rack are worth it alone IMO.

no thats not true. my wife want to kill the bmw because of the high costs to fix it. like 500 a pop when a window dosnt roll up. << which is just nonsence. i mean in the history of having cars has a window refused to roll up. and it has happened 3 times so my wife thinks bmws are pretty dumb but i hoping its only the x5 2001s and this 06 m3 will be alot better
Yea, bmw's do have many quirks about them, but they give a really nice driving experience/feeling.
Honestly, sometimes I wonder why I didn't just buy a hybrid civic :stickoutt Cheap, good gas mileage, reliable, cheap maintanence, will go for 200k+ miles if driven non-abusively, etc.
Come to think of it.. damn.. are we fools or what
People rarely make the "right" choice though, and sometimes that is the luxury of having extra money, is that we can afford making.. not so smart choices in life and get away with it.
