On the 323 & all e21's the fuel pump & filter are of the passenger side of the gas tank near the diff. Has anyone moved these so the exhaust can be routed there for a straighter run to the passenger side muffler. And if so where did they get moved to?

I was under the car last night looking at this. I have plenty of room to go past the fuel filter, the problem is the drive shaft. There is a pic of Hartge exhaust in Walloth u Nesch's catalog that looks like they made it work though.
