View Full Version : Anyone up for an IM chat?
Hello all, I am still somewhat new to BMW (owned mine for 4.5 months) and I sometimes I have maybe some dumb questions, or some trouble nameing certain things (as english isn't my native language). I was wondering if someone out there would want to chat online with me? An e36 owner would be great! Basically I just want a buddy to chat with about BMW's, year/specs, getting some help to find name and part numbers/prices of some parts, discussing options and upgrades. Basically just looking for someone with a bit of knowledge in e36. I have pretty much all of the IM clients out there - AIM/MSN/ICQ/YAHOO. I just thought that it could be better to have someone to talk to instead of posting multiple threads of "what this is called?" or etc.

Are you crazy? The only reason I venture out to the hamptons at all is to shop and drool over the cars parked in east hampton.

Sorry, I haven't checked the thread for a couple of days.
I'll add all of you to my contact list (AIM sn: kiriksmirnov).
I just moved here in the end of july, and I live in Yaphank, exit 68 on I495, right next to Brookhaven National Laboratory. As for meets, I never participated in any, so I don't really know what's it about. Besides, my car needs some major TLC, and I think she wouldn't want me to bring her to a meet in such condition as now. (gotta have quite a few things done first).
You might see me around, as I still have the Illinois state license plates on her :stickoutt

mocking poverty, we seem rich but were really not, yes i seem rich because i have a computer and a bimmer but i worked my ass off for both..

All the ppl out here (im sure force34 will agree) have expensive, euro cars b/c they cost a lot of money. I am nowhere near rich, i actually live in a little hamlet called Springs. Sure, there are TONS of hott cars out here, but nobody realizes what they have, they just know it costs a ton of money.

All the ppl im friendly w/ who are into cars, like old, muscle cars. Which is cool and all, but not me. The only ppl i kno personally who like euro cars are the kids who live down the street from me who have an 87 325e.

nope never seen your car, i just bought mine about 2 weeks ago, black on black 328is tints and m3 staggered contours, im in sag harbor i dont go to EH much unless i go to vinnies to get a haircut lol

Sounds like a pretty sweet car. Yea i dont get into sag harbor much either. But i also get my haircut at vinnie's!!!
But i think everybody does.......
Anyways, maybe ill see your car around sometime. I just came home for the wkend and took my car off the road until spring. But if you ever do see an 02 rolling down the road, be sure to flash your lights!!! It may be me:buttrock
