If they are larger smooth dents (like someone leaned against the car) it might work. If they are door dings then it will NOT work. You will have to go with paintless dent removal. It usually cost about $50.00 a dent.
Taiko 10-05-2005, 03:34 PM I would also think that if the dent is in/near a crease line in the bodywork, it wouldn't work. Looks like it would work otherwise though, probably worth it for the money.
MillerTime1nine 10-05-2005, 11:57 PM billy mays is in the commercial so its GOTTA be good!:redspot

the car in ur pic totally looks like an elderado, which is sweet.
three28is 10-09-2005, 11:24 PM don't do it! ding king sucks. i have one and it barely removes anything. only bigger round dents on thin sheet metal. i tried like 10 times trying to remove a ding on a late model honda and it yanked it out about 20% of the way. you'll be very disappointed with that thing.
adept 10-10-2005, 01:10 AM NO NO NO! I was watching the infomercial on it. I was thinking to myself "no way." So I started looking closer at the examples... it just makes two other dents where those little stoppers go! I've also heard this from other users. There is a reason why this guy is trying to get rid of it on ebay.
sirtiger 10-10-2005, 09:09 PM looks gimmicky
betta2bme 10-10-2005, 09:22 PM I tried that thing on my wifes Grand Cherokee. It worked pretty good but you need to follow the instructions to the tee. It uses a hot glue gun and you can have alot of problems getting the excess off the paint. :(
Rutzx012 04-28-2008, 08:40 PM These things are the WORST thing you can do to pull a dent out. Not only do they not pull it all the way out the even can pull it too far out in the end. Bad dent work is easily spotted especially someone who has a good eye. I can't believe how many people buy into these cheap products that only make it worse. Your better off going to a good dent guy and getting it done the right way the first time. Working on someone else's dent that was fixed all fu bared is a thousand times harder than the original dent itself.
MrNorwall 04-28-2008, 09:29 PM This thread is 3 years old, why would you bump it?
It's funny around here. People b*tch about not searching, but when someone does, then people b*tch about bumping up an old thread.
If it's valid, then so what?
MrNorwall 04-28-2008, 10:31 PM He searched to add to it. Not to recieve info from it or ask a question
Rutzx012 04-30-2008, 10:31 AM Can't a guy talk about a topic that he has interest in? You don't have to read the thread. And no I don't have a question but it appears that a lot of people are misinformed about this topic THEREFORE bringing some insight can actually be helpful. I'm sure you'll care the next time you come out to a door dent in your car.
Exactly. One of my friends was interested in looking at one of these and this post is very helpful.
Back on topic, one guy I knew used it on his M3 and he said it worked out great for him, but I didn't see the original dent.

I have one right now, i pay a PDR pro and get it done for 30 a dent and not worry bout DIY. Thats just how i do it. Everyone likes to DIT anyones. Sorry about what i said, i could see this being helpful
stupenal 04-30-2008, 07:59 PM i used it to pull a tiny tiny door dent. Pulled it PERFECTLY.
On my old bmw, i tried it on a bigger dent and it barely did anything at all. Ended up paying $100 for pdr for the entire door (about 10 dents).
Rutzx012 05-05-2008, 09:30 AM Sometimes yes they can pull properly, in fact I use a hot glue pulling system at the shop work at once and while the glue will pull a small dent up perfectly but one has to be careful not to pull too much because a high spot will form which can be harder to knock down. Also I've seen the legs on the cheap gimmicks put two additional dents in the car so one wants to be careful for that too.
