Never heard of a 3-point cage. Sounds like a rollbar, but those are normally 4-point. It all depends on how much you want to spend. I bought a bolt-in cage from Autopower out here in San Diego for $700. If cost weren't an issue I'd've rather had a custom cage welded-in. However, cost is an issue.:(

My bad it was a 4 piont. My budget it about 700 dollors so im thinking i will go with the 6 piont. Would i be crazy to drive the car on the street with it tho

I've got the Bimmerworld 6-point weld-in cage in my e30 M3 track car that I just bought. The Autopower cage does not require you to go through the dash like the Bimmerworld one does, so, it would be removable if it was a bolt-in application.
Just curious, how much street driving do you do with 450/600 lb spring setup? My track car is set up similar to your parts list and is not very pleasant to drive on the street. But, it is a fully stripped of the interior.

Not sure I'd say "crazy", but roll cages present a safely issue on the street since you really don't want to bang your head against a steel pipe in the event of an accident w/o a helmet on. If your drivers seat is low enough so that your head doesn't touch the bars when moving from side to side then this risk is somewhat reduced. I drive my racecar on the street on occasion (to/from the shop, and to the track), but it's definitely not daily-driver material.

The cages we sell now are not through-dash pieces made in house. Our shop stays busy doing custom work and we can no longer afford to produce these.
I have driven a caged car on the street. I wouldn't put kids in it or anyone in the back seat.

My car was setup very similar to yours..it was not harsh, drove it to and from VIR and MidO, but I don't suggest driving a caged car daily. Unless you plan on wearing a helmet
