Does anybody know what 'crowning' , 'tread crowning' means on a drag tire? I'm reading some tire reviews and it keeps referring to the term and I have no clue what it means...

i have no idea so i'm going to guess it has something to do w/ how the shape of the tire changes under hard acceleration. you ever notice how on top fuel cars the tire grows like 2' in height and shrinks 2' in width under acceleration?

i've never heard this term, but i dont follow drag racing
