Not exactly correct, what you get is a 50% reimbursement of the amount you paid for the samples. Please indicate on your order that you ordered samples before so that we know to check for your samples order and refund 50% of it.

Actually thanks for bringing it up, the advertisement was regarding leather, alcantara is something we've only added recently. And of course alcantara is not going to be thicker than vinyl, they are comparable thickness-wise... I'll make a note to revise the ad. Thank you.

Here's a pic showing how well our light gray (piping, in this example) matches aluminum knobs, inserts, etc. This is brushed aluminum so it appears a bit darker than our leather. For non-brushed, the match is near perfect:

Basically I looked to the first pic on this page of the white boot with red stitching as a template and wanted to see if you could do the left stitch light blue, middle purple [where panels come together] and right red. the pattern of having the stripes run down each panel looks good to me, rather than just 2 of the panels like in some of the double stitch ///M pictures on the site.

Actually, so was I. The center console (shift boot, brake boot, armrest cover) does get a break in the sun pretty often - depending on which way you park the car. In Texas I imagine the dash barely ever gets any shade. I'd guess 4 months on the dash would be like 2 years in the cockpit of the car. Unless you drive a convertible and the top is always down, of course. :)

As you can tell the black faux-alcantara is not raven black, but slightly off-black. The pictures enhance this effect, in reality it's closer to black than these would suggest:

One thing that sort of turns me off from these Redline boots is how much extra fabric there seems to be. Looks way more wrinkly than stock. Not all of them, but most.

Well, we can always custom-size the shift boot for you to make it nice and tight if that's your preference...

OEM was available in vinyl or in leather.
95% as supple as Argentine glove leather despite the thickness too.

If you knew the market you are trying to advertise to here, you'd probably show a lot less ricer striped boots, a lot less jap cars, and show how you can make a BETTER THAN STOCK, STOCK APPEARING BOOT for LESS than BMA pricing. SO far the only worthwhile option you have shown in ALL the pages is M stitching. that is your one and ONLY selling point on this particular forum as opposed to the 3 series and 'tooner' forums.

If someone wants a funky, jive, 'im a pimp', tasteless boot, they could look in the 3 series forums (where you should be honestly advertising these things)... they LOVE tacky/garish/ tasteless/ non OEM looking/ TOONER modifications...

If you want to sell boots to e34 owners, stop cross posting crap from other cars in here. Postt up your options, and e34 or at the least BMW only pictures. no one cares what you do on a wrx or a mazda sport utility/minivan.

I don't want to argue with you but 1) how many times can I post pictures of a black boot with black thread, it's quite boring really, 2) I only post pictures that I receive from customers, if somebody with a e34 submitted a picture I'd be happy to show it and 3) the fact that you don't like them (which the tone of your previous post makes more than clear) doesn't mean other enthusiasts mind find them to their liking and maybe find some inspiration in them.

That's all I'm going to say about this. If you don't like them, I'm not twisting your arm to check them out, am I?

BTW, Redline goods, it seems to me that the market might be well served with an alcantara (fake or real, whatever) cover for both halves of the center console. Unfortunately I'll be making my own, but I'd be willing to bet it'd be an easy template for you guys and a popular product.

Maybe even you'd be interested in sending us your template (which you can then make from a cheaper material) and we'd give you a free leather one for it.
