i just came home from a local mcdonalds with my friends and pulled up against some young guys in a e46 m3 while i was in my e36 325is with 2 other people in the car and a large 12'' sub w/ heavy ass enclosure. i will post up a video of the run soon because my friend in back of me happened to catch it on his digicam video. the e46 bearly beat me, probably by a little more than a car after 3rd gear. we didnt get to top out 4th gear, but we hit high 3rd, so im guessing we went up to around 85-90mph. ill post a video up later when he uploads it to me. i was wondering what are e46 stock quarter times? i ran 14.7 with first time experience, alright tires, and not such a good launch nor were my shifts perfect. what an andrenaline rush.

E46 M3s will typicall run low to mid 13s. Mid to high 12s are possible.

I can only keep up with stock e46 m3s halfway through 2nd gear and then it's BYE BYE! So must have the video to even remotely believe this...

i agree, i had an m50 with cams, and it wasn't really an e36 m3 competitor

i dont know guys, i dont think he was juss toying with me, he was flying by the gears like i was, he just redlined the gears faster than i was because he was shifting a little bit before me each time. i think my car is capable or doing low 14's if i had a good 60 foot last time i went to track. my friend has a 14.4 car and when we usually race from a roll in 1st gear like going less than 15mph, i can take him out after 2nd gear. i'll just try to get my friend to upload me the video soon. does anyone know a place i can host a small video for free?

Eevn if your car ran 14.4's. A low 13 car will be beat you. Shitty driver or no.

hey guys, sorry for the crappy ass quality on the video, you cant even recognize which car is which but im on the left side and the e46 m3 was on the rite side. its the video from a digicam so of course its gonna be kinda crappy. well my friend was in an automatic v6 firebird so he coodnt really catch up, lol. but yeah. the e46 slowed down before i did once we hit about 85-90mph because i guess he was suppose to turn left someware down the line. ahaha. some of you guys mite not believe me but trust me, it was a e46 m3. let me kno if the link works. first time tryin a video online.

Theres a few things that could have gone on. It's possible he can't drive, it's possible that he was pacing you, or maybe even possible that he beat you by enough distance that he was supposed to but it doesn't seem like alot to you. That race didn't last that long you can't expect a car to put bus lengths on you in a matter of seconds, especially if you can honestly say that you can hit low 14's. I understand that low 14 versus low 13 is an incredible difference, but on the street, from a roll, with the race not lasting that long, you cannot expect a car to buslengths on you instantly. I would have liked to see this race from a stop, preferably on the track because of a prepped surface where traction wouldn't be too much of an issue. I don't think we have enough evidence to call B.S. or "nice job" due to the camera angle. I guess we can just say, on the street anything can happen.

I have a E36 325is, also with S50 cams, intake exhaust etc, but i have a ported and polished head , 24lb injectors, and adj. FPR. I have taken several slightly modded E36's with this setup. I had a friend who owns a SMG '05 M3 vert, and he was astonished after driving my car. As he said, it feels at least as fast as his car, it is a dog until about 3800RPM, at which point it just pins you back. Anything is possible, like me beating a 98 Mustang GT from 0-70 in a friends stock E30 325ix

That video is hard to comprehend. All I know is an e46 m3 with boltons and software pulled away from me very hard while I was trying to follow in just second gear

I did have my 3.45 Diff in too at the time though, forgot to mention that sorry
