Sweet .. you are trying to make $2K from the car ... not bad if you can do it :)

I personally would have asked $35K since you paid around $31K for this.

To be fair, I think he's trying to get back about what he put into it.

You don't want to know what I'd have to sell my M3 for. :(

Only white this time. Have not owned white. :) Everytime I see Bren's M3, I admire it. White looks amazing on that car. Simple; but, elegant. Only thing that would sway me is a super good price. However, that is all moot until all of these other pieces fall into place, i.e., how much this engine/build-up process will cost, whether I can sell my other two useless cars, and tow vehicle/trailer. Then, I can look for the daily driver.

M cars are overrated. You should buy a 540 instead.

I agree with you James. White makes the edges look completely different.

Ah the E39. The precursor to the 5 series's downfall.

Talk about a thread hijack. Sorry fangtl! Sweet car, if I had the money, I'd make an offer. My dad was interested for like 5seconds but said he'd rather get something more 'old man' like a Porsche :stickoutt

...and yes, Alpine + Cinnamon on an e46 m3 is the tits.

When I bought the car it had its share of issues, but now that everything is resolved and the car's mechanically tip top, I believe the car is priced fairly. Plus, I am not going to make money off the car even if it sells at 33k, if anything I am losing money, but like Nick325xit said, I am just trying to get back some of what I've put into it.

Just the cost of the new MAFs, front rotors, rear tires, and wheel bearings added up to small fortune. Plus, all the drivability issues were repaired as well (i.e. new pads, aftermarket rear swaybar brackets, new underside tray, new O2, new plugs, new cluster, new fluids and filters, a DIY I2 inspection, etc etc the list goes on). All in all, I've spend many hours making this car run as it should, so for me $33K obo for a 01+ M5 that a buyer doesn't need to worry about isn't that bad of a starting point.
