I was wondering if there was any way I could take off the front bumper on my E39 by myself. My E36 just pops off after taking off 2 nuts. Please help. Im trying to mount d2r HIDs in my fogs and I dont think I would have enough room to clear the whole thing unless I take out my bumper. Thanks

it's easy, probably similar to the e36. Two torx bolts, i think #t50, just inboard of the fog lamps and above. THen there are either 4 or 6(cant remember if 2 per side or 3 per side, but you can see them, one is inboard, in front of the tire) 8mm bolts from the wheel wells into the bumper cover. That's it, it slids off, careful it's awkward but not heavy. Don't forget to unclip the foglamps before you slide the bumper off. I can't remember if the horns are in there too or if that was my e46, but if they're in there unclip those wires too.
If you have headlamp washers, unclip the hose, uses a 'c' clip type attatchment.

Thanks alot, Oh yea, There seem to be like a couple of clips, plastic ones next to the torx bolts, maybe 3-4 on each side. Do I HAVE to take these off?
