Im new to the BMW world. I have a 2002 530i. I was driving and the dome light came on as well as multiple idiot lights on the inst. cluster. Once stopped, the battery was dead. It did restart with a jump but all the lights stayed on and car was dead once I got home 5 min. later. Im guessing either battery or alternator problem. Any recommendations??? By the way, where is the battery on this car...I could only find a place to hook jumper cables but not the battery. Thanks.

The battery is in the right rear of the trunk. Have you checked to see if the alternator drive belt is still attached?
