M3Armand 09-25-2005, 12:29 AM I've been thinking about getting a Z4 and I wonder if that option is available. Yes tonyw 10-12-2005, 08:36 AM I have it on mine. My wifes Motorola seems to work fine. AndyZ 10-13-2005, 08:54 PM I have an 05 z4 with bluetooth. I was about to try my treo 650 when I realized that the dealer never gave me the PIN. I called and was told I have to come into the dealership to get the phone mated. I'm not that happy since the documentation says you are supposed to get the PIN froom the dealer when you pickup the car. I will probably go to the dealer tomorrow ( a 1hr round trip ) and will post the results. Andy techforge 10-14-2005, 11:20 PM Yep they should have given you a small form that has the pin. It works great with my motorola - provided the top is up :D AndyZ 10-15-2005, 09:53 PM Well, I went to the dealer yesterday. I had called earlier in the week and they said stop by Friday and we will get the Pin. When I got there they were moving to a new location and did not have the computer setup so I have to go there again whenever I can work at home for a day. They claim I got the pin but it is I certainly can not find it. Andy adam699 10-28-2005, 09:26 AM Any updates? How would I install it in a 2003 with navi? AndyZ 10-28-2005, 04:56 PM I went to the dealer today and got the PIN. The TREO 650 synched up with the car - no problem . It did not get the phonebook however. So far I am able to make a car from the phone or answer a phone with the steering wheel button and use the speaker and mike in the car. I am going to google for any TREO hacks for the phone book. Andy AndyZ 10-29-2005, 10:42 AM Did some googling - found mostly problems with phone book. On place said if you synch the phone book at the time of iniitial discovery it works. I tried sending contacts later that did not work. Also heard that BMW has some additional bluetooth commands so only certain phnes will work. It seem to me that someone could write a little treo code to implement the new commands. I'll keep searching. Also the treo hung this morning - not sure if it was related to the bluetooth. I did a soft resert and all was well. Andy jshattner 10-30-2005, 02:09 PM Hi Andy Is your Treo 650 from Cingular? I'm contemplating a 550i purchase and have not found specific info on mating with Cingular (BMW seems to have bluetooth certified the Verizon new firmware for the 650). Aside from phone book issues, what features work? Thanks AndyZ 10-30-2005, 09:38 PM My treo is from Verizon. I am just using the mike and speaker right now. I am running palm OS 5.4.7 - not sure if that is the latest but I only got the phone about 3 weeks ago Andy. adam699 11-15-2005, 02:55 PM So how do I go about installing it in my new(2003) Z4 |
