What do you guys think about this system? Is it worthy? Good performance?

ya it would make a diff in a fi'ed car... it would make the tope end pull much harder for sure.... and since its closed before full spool you wont have a bit of power loss in the low end when you run a open exhaust

although the ATP one is cool, it is boost actuated. if you want complete control & want to open/close your cutout whenever you want, here is an electric version: http://www.quicktimeperformance.com/QTEC/

The atp one is cool, but I wouldn't want it to only open when it is under boost or to always open when under boost. The QTP one is much cooler. I had it on my car and I loved it. i would open and close it all the time. Would scare the crap out of poop mustangs when they would think they are big and rev at me. i'd just open the cut-out, rev a little, then blow by them as they could hardly hear my BOV over the exhaust. It was great. here is a short video of my car with the cut-out open. I couldn't rev it high b/c I had not really tuned it at that point and now i don't have the car to make another video of it while it was tuned.

Edit: oh yeah, and the motor fell off of my QTP cut-out once, so if you do get it, take all of the screws off and put some serious lock-tite on them, or j-b weld or something.

I wanted one of these when I first started, but was talked out of it when I found out how loud an open pipe actually is.

You will be on boost more than you think. I would also assume that it will crack before full boost.

It really does help out in an FI car. I spooled up much faster, don't know exactly, but it was much faster. And when it was on my wastegate as a boost controller I would boost 1-maybe 2 psi more.

I had some video of it WOT, but I lost it with my computer. I had a few uploaded on my website, so let me look at all of those and see what I can find.
yeah, there aren't many BMW's on the coast. I am / was the only turbo m3 on the coast. I had turbo'd from the begining of the summer until about 2 weeks ago,(Hurrican Katrina took her from me)

Edit:
Ok, not much but here you go (my car starts at about 1:15)
Irroneous fact of the day: the road where I am racing the GTI is no longer there. b/c of Katrina

Just so my car doesn't look that slow, that is a fully built 5.0L mustang, and beat everyone i know of. The GTI has a big turbo and frontmount, etc. I also wasn't really fully tuned and was still maxing out my maf and I even blew it off (long story). So I was shifting around 5500 but it was WOT.
