Hi all,

What do you think of using Meguiar's Gold Class Wax over SG? Is it a cleaner wax? Any hazing?

How does the Meguiars stack up against Souveran and the like?

Thanks all,

Murad

I assume you mean the Gold Class Clear Coat Wax, which is not a cleaner wax.

I've never used it, but it should be fine. It's reasonably priced, but I doubt it would give you the look of the $70 Souveran or even the $17 S100.

If you already have it I'd say it would be fine to use. If not, I'd suggest S100 for light colored cars and Natty's Blue for dark colors as reasonably priced waxes with good results.

thx for the info...

another question...is the souveran wax in the autogeek Total Car Care pkg (with AIO, wolfgang products and souveran wax) the same $70 wax you are talking about? The entire pkg is only 60 bucks....

Not positive because I haven't looked but my guess is that is the liquid soveran wax which is much cheaper than the paste.

Actually GC does have cleaners in it, they're fairly mild, but they will strip off anything underneith.

So can we use this stuff over SG or would it be better to use the Carnuba wax?

Use a pure carnuba wax. The cleaners in GC WILL strip the layers below it.
