Afterthoughts Auto makes an O2 Simulator (http://www.afterthoughtsauto.com/o2sim.html). I've seen other posts in this forum indicating they have them but I haven't found anything specifically that says these O2 sensors will work on a BMW. AA is not sure and is going to check with their supplier.

Does anyone know if these will work on a BMW (e39 in my case)? If so, which connector?

Thanks,
Scott

I went with a www.o2simulator.com for my car. I ordered two of the singles and have had no problems since installation. I got the link of m5board.com since there are some guys that use them after switching to headers.

They are easy to wire in and the folks at 02sim.com are quick to answer emails if you have questions.

Yep, they monitor the condition of the catalytic converter. If the cat is ok, I guess it won't make any difference, but it is illegal to tamper with this stuff, at least in some locations, isn't it?

I have a 2000 BMW 540I and I want to order the O2 simulator from http://www.afterthoughtsauto.com/o2sim.html because there is no wiring that has to be done just a harness that plugs into it. Has anyone ordered this and knows which connector type to use. Also will I need two of them..

Thanks
