Hey guys,

Well, it looks like my passion is endless for this car.

Now I am on the desperate look (even if it is out of lust) for M5 Sport Seats for my E34 540i.

Any ideas?

aren't the 540 sport seats the same as the M5 seats?

There was a 540 sport, and then there was the 540 with the M-Technik package in 1995. That car had the same seats as the M5. The '95 M-Technik seats had the softer, slightly gathered leather, while the US spec '91 - '93 M5s had more firm, kinda stout leather. Same seat, though, and it's is more heavily bolstered on the hips and the ribs.

Check my gallery for my old M5 to see the seats:

The seats are great, IMO.

Still deciding if I want to upgrade to sport seats, since it has no arm rests. Is it worth it?

The seats in the 95 "Sport" (basically those with the 6 speed) are the same seats. They're wonderful. Lack of armrests is not an issue to me, but if you live or die by them.. might want to skip the sport seats. As far as I know, these seats are easily identifiable by the side bolsters and the adjustable leg/thigh support.
