I just overhauled my engine and seem to have an extra part I am trying to identify. The parts says "BMW1730682" and then just "Wahler" on another side of the part. It has what looks like two air hoses then some sort of copper sensor. Attached to the air hose looking pieces on the parts is marked " < PA-GF > ". I can probably get a picture up if no one has any clue what I'm talking about. Thanks :help

that would be the coolant recirculation waste of peices on OBD 1 BMW's
i just tuck it out of the way.

coolant is supposed to run through that to help cold start emissions

Thanks.

Anymore info like where to mount it up? Is it necessary? :)

cut the hose and connect it directly to the throttle body

How would you connect it to the throttle body?

You would just connect the two hoses together.

Don't bypass the throttle body heater if the temps get below 50-degrees where you live. Coolant flows through the throttle body to prevent it from icing up. Thermostat in the airbox is there to stop the flow of coolant when it is warm enough outside.
