im planning on replacing a hose on one of the power steering hose. is this pressurized? it seems to be a simple unbolt and bolt procedure. im thinking of getting the hose repaired cause the part is a special order meaning it will take two to three days for it to get to me. any thoughts will be a great help.

I don't think it maintains pressure once the car is off, but maybe someone else can comment.

the ps hoses do not hold pressure when the car is off - don't bother trying to repair the old hose - just get a new one. I'm assuming the part that is leaking is the rubber end, not the hard hydraulic line right?

yep, its the hose part that has a slash on it. it spills really bad that i wasted my money on refilling the tank with CHF 11s!!!
