I can't decide on either the BMW 330cI or the Z4, maybe some of you can help me :help . Are the Z4's comfortable? I just can't make up my mind.

Hm...That's like asking if you should buy a Jeep Wrangler or a Ferrari F430.

Completely different cars. Two seat roadster vs. 4 seat coupe? Not even close in usage and practicality.

Which to get depends on your intended use. If you're looking for a year-round daily driver, I'd recommend the 3-series coupe or convertible, even for sunny Arizona. If you're looking for a fun weekend/fair-weather 2nd or 3rd car, I'd go with the Z4.

I'm leaning toward the Z4 since I have no need for a backseat. It looks like a great vehicle to cruise around in, but I'm in bit leary about going 85 mph on 101! Price is the same, but the Z4 is a sporty spitfire (which isn't a bad thing!).

I just traded my Z4 in for a 325i. It's a factory order, so I don't have any real comparison yet, but I wanted to try something a little different. I got active cruise, navigation, premium audio etc. on the 3 and I went for a 2 year lease.

At the end of the lease, I'll decide if I want something more "luxury" or more "sport", and then I'm planning to get either a 3 series coupe or Z4 coupe depending on how much I like the 3.

If you haven't bought anything in 5 weeks, I should be able to give you a real world comparison.

I've done about 120mph in the Z4 with the top down before. If you have a good windscreen don't worry about it.

I sort of split the difference myself. I was thinking of an E46 M3 coupe and decided that 1) like my Porsches I'd likely never use about 95% of the performance potential and 2) I wanted a weekend sports car, but didn't really care for the 3-series cabrio lines. I split the money and bought both a 325i sedan and a Z4.

I own both a 05 325i and a 04 Z4 3.0

If you don't need a rear seat its a no brainer.

Go with the Z4.

Z4 is the way to go. I'm on the 101 here in Phoenix all the time and 85mph is nothing. If you don't have need for a rear seat, the convertible Z4 is the best choice, especially here in AZ.

Sitting in a Z4 feels amazing. Feels like you're sitting in a rocket. I love both the 3-series and Z4, but the 3-series can't even compare to the Z4 in the "oooh" factor. The Z4 looks like a very fun car and like everybody else is saying, if you don't need a back seat, get the roadster. :buttrock

It depends on your taste. I just came from a S2000 and bought a Z4. Personally for me I love the roadster feeling.
