How far is the Inland Empire from San Diego, also how far is downtown LA. Drive distance?

Is living in SD then driving to work in Inland Empire crazy? or driving to LA for work ? is that crazy? Or normal for Cali?

The Inland Empire is a huge area. Not sure where specifically you are talking about...but in general, yeah, its crazy.

Wouldn't you generally live in IE, and commute to LA?

Driving more than 1/100 of a mile on the highway in the LA areaa is crazy due to traffic. Driving from SD to either LA or the Inland empire is just insane. Normal might be driving from like the Inland empire to the LA area for work.

San Diego to IE can be anywhere from half an hour to 2 hours depending on where in SD and where in IE you're talking about. One good part is you'd be going against the flow of most of the traffic that way...

I got a killer job in downtown San Diego. I live in north oc. 3 days a week I commute 100 miles each way. If you leave early enough it isn't too bad. Just leave very early and go home very late to miss the traffic. I leave at 430 am to the office, and leave the office at about 630 pm. It takes only about 1 hour 45 minutes. Or even faster if I drive fast. To be honest, on the morning drive there are NO cops. In doing this for 8 months now, I seriously have never seen ONE cop on the road that early on the 5. Sometimes I make it in less than an hour...... :devillook :evil2 :nono . Going home is a different story tho. Its cop central so it takes longer. but the AM drive is actually pretty fun if you like seeing how fast your bimmer will REALLY go...hehehe

and I can say proudly my little 'ole 318 will hit 135. It takes a while to get there, but it DOES get there. And it is still pretty rock solid at 135 too. Damn fine car.

Commuting from SD to LA? You are out of your mind. You're going to be spending at least 3-4 hours in the car each way.

PM LeftCoastBias and ask him about the commute. He does the LA>SD and SD>LA drive a couple times a week
