So as you all know from my previous thread of someone hitting my car...I need a body shop.

Coming back to Dallas this week to get my car "appraised" for the damage.

I however need a good body shop, I've used Concourse Paint and Body across from Dallas BMW to do some stuff years ago, but they took quite a long time to finish the work. (2 1/2 weeks for painting/installing a spoiler on a 3-series)

Keep in mind my insurance is paying for this, so with that in mind where would you guys choose to take your own car too?

Thanks guys

Service King Collision Repair at I-20 and 360. A good friend of mine is the Assistant Manager/Senior Service Writer, and I worked there for a little while. They do excellent work and have one of the best painters there that I've ever seen.

SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWW!!!! Takes forever to get anything done there. Your car will sit longer than it would take Concours to do the work.

How slow is "slow?" 1 week to do the front left quarter panel?

On "average" how long would it take to install/paint a new front left quarter panel? That is if they dont just fully replace it.

Millenium Autoworks in Fort Worth. They do a lot of work for Gotham Racing and they do badass work like no other. I was gonna go take my car there after I wrecked it but it was totalled anyways so that defeated the purpose haha

They do lots of paintwork on RX7's and other imports and the detail is immaculate.

My mom owned it, then I owned it.

Don't ever remember it ever being in an accident? Unless it happened back in like '97 when I didnt know jack about cars. It has a clear title and clean carfax?

Maybe it was hit before we bought it from John Roberts?

DO NOT take that car to a chain body shop you will make baby Jesus cry. A chain shop will run your car through like a Honda or a Yugo and will probably spray it with PPG in a crap ass side draft booth. With paint and body you defiantly get what you pay for. Both body shops listed above only use German paint and it will take a little longer than a chain shop because you will have a person with 20+ years of experience doing the work correctly.

A post of mine from an old thread:

German Technologies is the only place to go!

The name says it all they specialize in working on German cars as well as the occasional Ferrari or Lambo.
They have been in business since the early eighties.
They guaranty all over paint work for ten years!!!!!!!!!
They use German fill and paint products exclusively.
Their paint booth is a down draft Blowtherm one of the best out there.
They use the best gravity fed guns to get most uniform finish possible this means no color sanding is required.
They shoot test sheets and lay them on the vehicle to mach the paint exactly because the paint code mixture is never exact.
They are one of the best at prepping and panting fiberglass.
The owner Dan Butts is very fair and straight forward about price and time frame.

These are the reasons why they have painted three of my cars

Stuarts may be a little slow but they are the best. you want a rush job? go to a chain where they will ask you for "Fries with that bumper Sir"

I have photographed some of the handy work from Stuart including his personal Ferrari Dino which he worked on and refinished to win a Platinum at the Concorso Italiano in Pebble Beach last year... It has been on the cover of TDM and from my view it is perfect and flawless.

Stuarts is where we took my dads car to have the front end redone after a truck back into it. Cool cars to look at while you walk around the shop plus they do great work. Two thumbs up. They also quoted cheaper than classic bmw's quote.
