View Full Version : Official Z4 Coupé pictures !
Kaizu 09-12-2005, 09:01 AM Remember these pics are from BMW. But the car is not the final production version, it's still a concept. I believe the final version will definately get the facelift. I really hope that for example the front bumber will be a better one.

I like it, just waiting for the M version :cool
In the pics it has 19" wheels and BMW has reported the time from 0 to 100km/h (0-62.5mph) in 5.7 seconds for the 3.0 model.

The M Coupé is sure a true icon in car design etc. etc. but this looks good also ;)
m3rdpower 09-12-2005, 09:13 AM Kinda looks like the Bently coupe from behind.
Kaizu 09-12-2005, 09:32 AM The same pics with bigger size: http://www.autoweek.com/files/specials/2005_frankfurt/z4coupe/pages/01.htm
What BMW wants to tell you about the car: http://www.autoweek.com/files/specials/2005_frankfurt/z4coupe/z4coupe_info.doc
Name of the color is Glacier Silver, it is developed exclusively for the concept car they say...
Miguel Sanchez 09-12-2005, 09:39 AM I love it. Needs a little M, though
count_schemula 09-12-2005, 09:55 AM Not bad. I still have some issues with it (the "flame" surfacing still looks a little confused, and the hood is just too flat and plain, I don't like any of the new BMW too clean and antiseptic interiors), but it's not that bad. Almost good even, which is the nicest thing I've said about any of the newer designs.
Kaizu 09-12-2005, 10:06 AM I first said that in my opinion the production model will get a facelift.
But when I think about it, the concepts of M3 CSL and M5 E60 look really the same as the real cars so maybe I was wrong about it...
Check out this side profile pic from Frankfurt, those wheels are huge:

ps. Damn I need money...

This thing is amaaaazing. Better than I thought it'd be. :buttrock
tripleM 09-12-2005, 11:02 AM Foick! BMW still knows what to do when they set their minds to it.
This car reminds me of a mini Ferrari.
Amazing!
hate the face but everything is delicioso!!
Z3speed4me 09-12-2005, 12:08 PM that car is soooooooooooooo hot!!! i never liked the z4, but this thing is like WOAHH!!
i want some pricing and stuff this thing will def be on my list...
callerys 09-12-2005, 12:55 PM Are they going to make a M Version?
polishsausage52 09-12-2005, 01:52 PM i dunno i think it looks a lil squatty :confused
KritonD 09-12-2005, 02:20 PM WOW, that looks great. I've always liked the Z4, much much more than any of bangles other designs and I love the Z3 coupe. I'm simply hoping the facelift of the Z4 helps the nose of it, i just dislike the grill, it seems a little off to me. but apart from that i think its a nice car.
now I think i would consider that Z4 coupe over a porsche caymen, and that is a car i would really love. Plus I would think it would be cheaper too. looks tight, make it BMW! and bring it to the states, i guess they'll want to see how the caymen sells, i think merc is coming out with a competitor to that car too, a new class of car it seems, introducted by the Z3 coupe.
///MZG 09-12-2005, 06:52 PM wow, I think I like it.
ShimShimHada 09-12-2005, 07:17 PM I saw it over on e90post, and I like it. I think the concept interior looks beautiful!
TT Quattro 09-12-2005, 07:38 PM I wonder if the price of the S54 coupes will start to come down?
Amused 09-12-2005, 10:29 PM just wow.

looks like an rx8 w/ down syndrome
Z3speed4me 09-13-2005, 06:13 PM no..i dont think the s54 m coupe will prob not go down, bc its so limited....UNLESS they make and m version of the z4 coupe...wit an s54 or greater THEN it will drop
Dark Helmet 09-13-2005, 10:33 PM I dig it... just wish it was a 2+2
AussieZ3 09-14-2005, 02:10 AM I love those wheels!!
Almost look medieval/tribal!
epbrown 09-14-2005, 09:09 PM Like the cheerleader said when I asked her out: No, no, never, never, nu-uh-uh!
Emanuel
Preppy 09-14-2005, 10:35 PM I'm saving up for a downpayment for one as we speak...
...to clarify, for an m version....
skribble 09-15-2005, 12:17 AM As an owner of 2005 Z4 3.0i, I love the horizontal line running from the headlights, dipping around the driver compartment, return to the rear tail....I hope the Z4 coupe successfully integrates that line with the hardtop dip to the tail.
My Maldives Blue Z4, gets looks and POSITIVE comments everywhere I go.....Best boost to the ego I've seen....Maybe try a Boxster next to see if it can rival the positive EMOTIONAL response seen while driving my Z4....
later,
skribble
laxwmatt 09-15-2005, 09:48 AM As I said in the other thread, wow!
I just wish I could afford one right now.
M Coupe here I come!
feeling it. . .what's more is the addition of the well-proportioned Hoffmeister kink - its absence bugs me on the Z3 coupe.
I know it is only a concept right now, but when do you think they will release the z4 coup or z4 m coupe? Ive been reading and seeing them label it as the "2006 z4 coupe" but is it really coming out next year?? thanks
epbrown 10-28-2005, 12:55 AM According to Autocar, the coupe will be released next spring, along with the new Z4 M. The latter will debut at the Detroit Auto show.
Emanuel
So will the z4 M be a coupe or the roadster? how much will the z4 coupe and z4 m coupe be?
Roffle Waffle 10-28-2005, 01:07 PM I hope this brings down the prices of z4 3.0 roadsters!
2000Z3M 10-30-2005, 04:06 AM i read somewhere starting price is 41K. now the guestion is do i traded in my M roadster in for one when the M comes out? Or to keep the my car and buy the new M coupe 3 years after it come out on a lease return?
2000Z3M 11-01-2005, 10:14 PM i just read that the M coupe will have about 360HP out of a S54
Z3speed4me 11-02-2005, 02:41 AM so are we sure this thing is even bein made...let alone the M version
2000Z3M 11-02-2005, 02:59 PM yes go pick up road and track or car and driver, one of them has some info on it.
Roffle Waffle 11-03-2005, 05:58 PM $41k sounds allmost affordable
Z3speed4me 11-03-2005, 07:01 PM well if they make the ///M ill be financially ready for it by then...
laxwmatt 11-03-2005, 07:22 PM check this month's automobile... it's on the cover
DirtDog 11-04-2005, 08:57 PM Car and Driver has pic from Frankfurt show, and says
"It was built as a concept car, but we fully expect BMW to create a hardtop version of the z4 in the mid-2006. the coupe concept looks far bettter than the convertible z4, and the matte-metallic paint on the concept looks terriific.
the roofline is reminecent of the 6-series coupe, but the z4 coupe will be a hatchback. initially expect the z4 coupe to come with the 255hp, 3.0 liter inline-six and later with the current m3's 333hp 3.2L enigine.
the price for the 255hp coupe is expected to be about $35,000 and the M version about $45,000, a price that undercuts Porches 291hp Cayman-S by more than $10,000." :redspot
I really like it alot, put me down for a M Z4 coupe
d you think it will handle as well as the z3Mcoupe
Z3speed4me 11-04-2005, 11:01 PM if the ///M coupe were 45 wit the s54 or higher i would be VERY interested...since the z3 m coupe was like 45,900 if i remember when it came wit the s54
2000Z3M 12-03-2005, 06:36 PM im on the waiting list for the Z4 M coupe :redspot :buttrock
Z3speed4me 12-03-2005, 07:04 PM did you have to pay for a spot? and how much
2000Z3M 12-03-2005, 07:18 PM did you have to pay for a spot? and how much
nope. but ill have to put a few Gs down when i do my build
Z3speed4me 12-04-2005, 12:11 AM nice, i cant wait for it to be on the "build your car" thing on the website ima mess with that for like an hour at least
pspark 12-17-2005, 08:45 PM I always struggled with getting an E36 M Roadster or M Coupe, but opted for an 02 Roadster.
Not being a fan of the Z4, I can honestly say that the coupe has changed my p.o.v. on this line.
I wonder if they'll do a two engine lineup as with the E36 M Roadsters/Coupes or just stay with the S54.
The roofline suffers from the same acute angles as the Cayman--no sunroof possible.
Not that it matters much.
Mad Dog 20/20 12-19-2005, 07:46 PM Wow, that car is very very ugly.
When will BMW break-out of that design rut?
