Dear All,

I am new to BMW comm. and this will be my first post.

Question is that I read in another post regarding the New E90 pricing discount to be around $500 ~ $1000...

Does that mean it's windo price taken out $500 ~ $1000 discount than plus fees (Tax-Lic-Doc.) (IE $35000 - $1000 and then X 10% fee = Out pocket)

OR

$35000 - $500 ~ $1000 = Out Pocket (out the door w/ fees included already)

I see on MSN Auto
invoice price is below $28,000 for 325i

How does the pricing work...
I would like to know what's the out pocket $$ for 2006 325i.

I have a G352DR coupe which was in an auto accident 5 days ago :mad . and might be "TOTAL" . Waiting 4 insurance comp. to confirm that. Now i am doing some homework on purchase of a new car :help .

Thank you!

Think of it simple. This is the case for "most" e90 owners experience.

GO to bmwusa and build your E90(325 or 330).
Take anywhere between $1000~$2000(if you are extremly lucky. most gets
average of $1500 discount) off the MSRP(of your built e90).
Thats the price you should expect to pay.

28k for e90 325 with options sounds WAY too cheap.
Only if owning a BMW is that cheap. :stickoutt

I have a Consumer Reports price list which I downloaded recently. The 325i dealer's invoice price for a BASE 325i is $27,755. The dealer then has to pay the $695 delivery charge, which brings his cost up to $28,450. I believe this is current info, but there is the possibility that the website was not updated for the (also recent) increase of $600 in MSRP. The printout is dated 8/10/05. Anyway, CR recommends you always negotiate UP from dealer invoice, not DOWN from MSRP. (They also recommend you leave any trade completely out of the negotiations, i.e. negotiate the trade AFTER you negotiate the new car price and get a written quote.)

Here's a long thread on e90post.com from people listing what they actually paid for their E90's. This should givbe you a very good idea what people with your options are paying

Good luck with your purchase and make sure you negotiate

just be careful with your negotiating strategy. You might save $500-$1000 by cutting your local dealer out of the loop and buying the car somewhere else, but unless you plan on having your car serviced out of town, this means that you won't get preferrential service treatment, loaner cars, etc.

It is possible to outsmart yourself in the quest to save money.

It's been confirmed... My insurance comp. will total my car and give me a check. I am reading European Delivery ... as i am typing this reply...

OK next question... again w/ forum pricing vs ED pricing

I saw $6000 off MSRP from E90post forum for *ED* ... now that's BEFORE TAX correct?

so let's say, my new 330i will have USA MSRP of $42k, I should be able to get it ED for $36K BEFORE TAX ... :shifty

what about the fees, any additional FEEs to be added on top of our regular doc fee of 10%??? :shifty

anyone done this ED before ... and run down of FEEs? :shifty

THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! :)

I am going in for a test drive this weekend ... :redspot

If i can make up my mind on this ED ... i think i will give them deposit for a deal. :buttrock

Please help !!!

$6K off $42K would be 14%... I don't know which post you saw but there's no way you'd get anywhere near that much off the car.

well, i can't recall which thread, but ... i am sure i saw a post with $6000 off. anyways, i dont think i will be going for ED... it takes ... 4 or 5 months to get the car. and i will have to take my honey w/ me, ... double the ticket $... oh well... no more savings...

thanks so very much for all your reply and tips...!!

I will be getting it locally here in So Cal

here is one tip to buying cars...PAY WITH CASH ALL AT ONCE!!!
and you will save a shitload..our family we alwaies buy car all at once with cash..bargain like crazy..because dealers LOVE CASH..they wont make a big deal and ask where you got all hte money from..if tehy do just make up something..but they most likely wont becuz THEY LOVE CASH!!! we got our 330I with prepium package upgraded sound idrive without navi becuz we didnt want to order it and we got the only manual in the lot....and lo jack intire warranty, and also the other one i forgot wat its called but its for my paint and interior protection..all for 40k flat out the door..i didnt have to deal with desination fee or tax or anything

I just bought my Titanium Silver Metallic 325i here in upstate NY.

I got the premium package
cold weather package (the heated seats rule! I already had to use them on a drive home one morning. They heated up before I could get out of the parking garage.)
Xenon headlights
6-speed
Satellite Radio Preparation
Carpeted floormats and two "3" hats
Extended warranty
The total price with tax, title and destination was $38900.

I think this was a pretty good deal.

Total price as configured on the BMW website is $36970 without the extended warranty. I know it doesn't cost the dealer anything to give you the warranty but I liked the added protection. I plan on keeping it for a while so this will probably pay for itself.

As an added bonus, they wash it for me for free whenever I want (I've been there four times in as many weeks). They always have free coffee and danish inside while you wait.

This is my first post so I hope I didn't screw it up.
If any of you are in the Albany area send me a line. :)

All in all, I'm just psyched to own one! :buttrock
