OMGWTFBODY 09-11-2005, 01:07 PM Negative. F1 > Nascar. :buttrock But... Nascar has like Monte Carlo and Taurus racing! And the speedways are just SUPER! :devillook JuliusPleaser 09-11-2005, 01:07 PM Schumie=Rain GodSchumi got taken out by Rain Satan today. :devillook scyrusurcys 09-11-2005, 01:16 PM Negative. F1 > Nascar. +1 Nascar has turned into a giant sponsorship narrative. F1 has remained what it SHOULD be since it started: a sport. OMGWTFBODY 09-11-2005, 01:17 PM NASCAR hasn't seen real racing in 20 years. one of the few from B'ham I've heard say that. I only lived there 18 years... Actually, Nascar does suck. Azn4lyfe 09-11-2005, 01:19 PM NASCAR hasn't seen real racing in 20 years. Same with F1 just about. JuliusPleaser 09-11-2005, 01:34 PM True. The past 10 years have sucked. This year has been the best in recent memory. Apexxx 09-11-2005, 01:34 PM f**k Sato!!!!!!!!!!!!! NHbmw325I 09-11-2005, 02:01 PM I like F1 and touring car racing. With the BMW's, Audi's, Citroen's, and other European cars. ehlpitel 09-11-2005, 02:07 PM F1 is kind of redundant and boring for me to watch, I prefer rally racing OMGWTFBODY 09-11-2005, 02:13 PM F1 is kind of redundant and boring for me to watch, I prefer rally racing Good call. M52 POWER! 09-11-2005, 03:42 PM I like when they have a good inside camera and mic. Also when they show the g forces and the drivers inputs on gas, brake and steering is really cool to watch! bl00p 09-11-2005, 04:00 PM F1 is increasingly irrelevant. I'm glad the NFL is back. Deacon 09-11-2005, 05:57 PM McLaren has got to have the worst luck in racing. Bruce must be rolling over in his grave. BETO 09-11-2005, 06:31 PM NFL??? Please. Soccer rules!! That's the real FOOTball. Any car race is good to me, but I'll take F1 over WRC over Nascar. Go Fernando!! Phylo 09-11-2005, 06:43 PM what happened to this thread? it went from Spa to what "sport" is best. "there are only three true sports: mountain climbing, auto racing, and bull fighting. All the rest are children's games played by adults." Deacon 09-11-2005, 07:14 PM SPA is one of the greatest racetracks in F1. Eu Rouge has to be the best turn in racing. It was nice to see people getting to change tires today. :alright It's too bad that JP got whacked at the end, which allowed Fernando to finish 2nd. I like watching races in the rain though. Adds excitement to the racing. BETO 09-11-2005, 07:49 PM what happened to this thread? it went from Spa to what "sport" is best. "there are only three true sports: mountain climbing, auto racing, and bull fighting. All the rest are children's games played by adults." That's according to a famous guy who didn't have a pleasant childhood. I don't see bull fighting as a sport. Wrestling is more a sport than that. Back to subject, the turn is Eau Rouge or Red Water, wonder why? Awesome turn, and according to Car & Driver, not all pro drivers take it flat out. Spa has the romance of old F1 races for some reason, must be the scenery. I hate empty or unfinished race tracks, they look so dead. Add some trees and landscape please. Bring back the old pit stops with tyre changes. When was the last race under the rain? S52Mcoupe 09-11-2005, 11:16 PM NASCAR=fast bill boards F1=pure mechanical perfection and rediculous money use and Touring Car=real racing we can relate too and drivers that act liek real people. kaiservon 09-12-2005, 12:11 AM F1 at Spa people...F1 at Spa p1u1n1x1 09-12-2005, 02:41 AM well, I enjoyed the race, was hoping for a Mclaren 1-2 until Pizzonia made his presence known to Montoya... :mad oh well, at least Micheal Schumacher DNF'd. Deadeye 09-12-2005, 04:48 AM Anyone think Shumi's poor performance this year has anything to do with the new tire changing rule??? EIAlfonso 09-14-2005, 03:28 PM Anyone think Shumi's poor performance this year has anything to do with the new tire changing rule??? Yes!!, Ferrari's contract forbids them to run Michelins. cgregory 09-14-2005, 03:49 PM Anyone think Shumi's poor performance this year has anything to do with the new tire changing rule??? Are you implying that Schumi is not good at conserving tires? I really don't think that's the case. Ferrari and Bridgestone just don't have a great package this year. Deacon 09-14-2005, 04:15 PM NASCAR is not racing, silly goose. REAL Racecars don't have doors :D (even doors that are welded shut) John 540i6 09-15-2005, 05:19 PM Spa is definately my favorite stop on the F1 circuit. Im a big formula 1 nut. NASCAR=fast bill boards F1=pure mechanical perfection and rediculous money use and Touring Car=real racing we can relate too and drivers that act liek real people. I think that said it best because apparently I dont understand how nascar is anything to sneeze at. Looking at basic car stats for fun- Nascar: Ford Taurus (but not really) 3200lbs w/o driver 800hp @ 8000 rpm V8 150,000 dollars Big brake upgrade for a ford taurus? Formula 1: Ferrari F2005 1300lbs w/o driver 985hp @ 18,500 rpm V10 3+ million dollars. Brakes taken off the Boeing 777 air liner :D i say the formula 1 car would be way more fun to watch. 0-200mph then back to a dead stop in less than 3/4 of a mile. Especially not only do they turn left, but they ALSO turn right! Makes for way cooler passing opportunities. ///Mal 09-16-2005, 06:29 PM The real racing is nascar, bitches. :ban: Ha ha, that's funny right?, or at least I hope it's meant to be. I mean...how much can you expect from a "sport" that has it's roots from... well running Bootleg alcohol. Back to SPA, Historically one of the best tracks around. ///Mal 09-16-2005, 06:37 PM Schumie=Rain God There is only one Rain God, Ayrton Senna Da Silva, AKA Rainman, AKA Prince of Monaco |
