Looks like Z coupe. I've spotted a black widebody e36 today on the way to work. It had unfinished bodywork around the flares. Too bad I had to drive the volvo today and left my camera in my other car. :(
Volvo completely sucks compared to e36.

OK my bad ...it is a non-M .
Still looks clean though .

Yes it was at Wendys on Davis/Main when I snapped those pics .
Maybe it belongs to Dave Thomas . :)

The question was...
How is it that you are able to work for MCI and go to dealer auctions too?

Excuse my ignorance, it just seems a little strange for you to be a licensed dealer (assuming you are a licensed dealer), and yet work for MCI as well.

Just spotted a white e36 M3 with Tire Rack windshield decal in McKinney. This is the 2nd time I spot him in the same area, but this time he waved. Anyone know who this is?

Nope, no need to see your resume, or get cocky. As long as you're a licensed dealer, I really don't care what you do. But finding unlicensed curb-stoners has come to be a sort of hobby of mine, so that's why I asked.

WTF y?

Because it's illegal and unethical, that's why. Unlicensed curb-stoners who try to dabble in buying and selling cars is essentially like saying "screw you" to the NADA, and makes all the effort that us real dealers put into getting and maintaining our license seem pretty pointless. Being a used car dealer doesn't include setting cars out for sale at your local gas station or in some guy's empty field beside Cooper St.

Sure, if you wanna call it that I guess. I really don't care. You can read what else I wrote and find out the reason... if you're interested.

Most independent used car dealers I know do all they can to report curb-stoners and such, so it's not anything new.

At the moment, I don't have anything to fit that bill exactly, but I've got 3 trucks that come pretty close.

'99 F-250 XL- 4x4, reg. cab, long bed, alloys, two-tone, 5.4 V8/auto
'99 GMC 2500 Sierra SLE - 4x4, ext. cab, short bed, 3-door, alloys, loaded, 6.0 V8/auto
'02 Chevrolet 2500HD Silerado - 4x4, ext. cab, long bed, 4-door, chrome wheels, loaded, 6.0 V8/auto

If you've got cash, I can make you a heck of a deal on any of those 3 trucks. Lemme know if any of them would work for ya.

weaksauce
09-12-2005, 05:00 PM
those 6.0 trucks do good on gas till you load them down, then its over. It always made me nervous pulling with one with the cruise control on. I'd hit a hill and it would down shift and sound like the engine was about to come apart. Never any problems though.

I still want a diesel. It HAS to be an F250. I love those trucks, plus with a wholesale account with 4 Wheel Parts, it could be one bad a$$.

Selling the M3 & getting an F250, or just buying an F250??

IIRC, I saw a thread someplace about you wanting to sell the white M3.

I am going to sell the M3, but I am going to look at some Porches. I think I want something different. This is my 3rd M3 and it just does not have that "I love this car" factor for me anymore. I may pick up a 95 M3 for a track car, but I think I am leaning towards a 996.

I need the truck for hauling stuff in. I am always in need of a truck and hate borrowing my bro's. I will probably daily drive it, keep the 996 for a garage queen, and then have a beat up track car which one day will be the club racer.

Who knows? I change my mind daily.... :(

LoL...same here. Everyday I'm floating whether or not I want a 330i ZHP, E36 M3 Sedan in Dakar Yellow/Blk or Estoril Blue/Grey, or a 02-03 Sterling Silver/Blk 540i Sport (w/M-Pkg) as soon my E46 hits 75K miles.

I know!

You see, for me, each car has its negatives though:

E36 M3 Sedan - I can't find a DAMN credit union to finance under 15% even though I have perfect credit.

E46 ZHP - Hard to find one in town without being raped by retail.

540i - I commute 60 miles a day, no way in hell I'm spending $50+ for a tank of gas each week. Just not worth it for me at the moment.

In the end, I might just end up going with a 330i ZHP & adding DDEs, 3.46 diff, sways, Eisenmann (maybe) Exhaust, Eibach springs, Gruppe M intake, & Sirius Sat Radio.

www.ufcu.org they financed my car at 5.3% with no credit, except you will have to do all paper work by mail and fax since they're in Austin.

Challenges for Eric:

#1... Work on your comebacks - that was just a little lame.

#2... Learn how to spell - it's protein, not protien.

Nice try, though. Thanks for playin. :)
