I was rear-ended on my way to work this morning? I've done some searching and it looks like Queen City and RNR are the most recommended shops. Have any of you had bad experiences with either of these? Do you have any other favorites?

TIA,
Findley

Aldercrest Autorebuild in Lynnwood. From I-5 head N or So to Lynnwood, take 44th to 196th, head E on 196th for about a mile. You'll pass a BP on your right, the Ol' Spaghetti Factory on your left, and then it's right there on your left. I know the owner personally, they've been in business for over 35 years, I've had 4 cars fixed there (one a major collision where I was rear-ended - 18k in damage, car looked flawless when done). If you want the best work, go there. He has a lot of state contracts too, and he's grown so much he recently had to buy another 5 bay garage to do his work. 425 775-2424. Ask for Nick Stacks, tell him Jesse Mayor referred you and he'll treat you like family.

I would recomemend Haurys' Lake City collision. They are the local club sponsor and the owners are BMW club members. They aren't cheap but the paint used are BMW OE. Facility is top notch. I dont think you will find a better shop in the Seattle area. I saw the repair done before and after and the result is amazing. GL with your search.

In Redmond, they work on high end/exotic cars, good rep and quality work. they have a web site also with lots of info! They take care of customers like no other shop I know, been in biz years, go see them! RNR (um, prev postd) They work on my car exclusively.

A friend of mine in west Mount Vernon has a shop called Hot Wheels Autobody. He's pretty damn good, but the last time I talked to him he wasn't taking any jobs that were less than $5k. And even at that he was swamped with cars coming from Canada to Cali. The vast majority of his jobs are customs, hot rods, muscle cars, and such. Not much R&R type work.

Haury's Collision is at the very top of my list. :redspot
I had my whole showcar resprayed, and picked up 3wks ago. It looks like it just left the showroom.

Let me know I'll send you some pix of their quality. :cool

I took it to Queen City earlier this week and they now think it is totaled, so I guess it doesn't really matter any more :( :(

anakbabe, how much did a full respray cost? That sounds awesome. A brand new Avus, one of my favorite colors EVER!

Queen City is great, someone got a little too close in traffic and scratched up my rear bumper and had them repaint it. It is beautiful, better than stock.

Haury's is great too, MZG's car looks amazing.

I think you are talking about 2 different people. I had my car re-painted . . .it was already avus and I got a respray on 90% of it.

Cost was around 5k.

Hmmm... I wonder what my car will look like if it was Avus Blue  (SICK!!)

But as for charges on the respray... I'm not really sure as I had a lot of custom works done to the car. It was at Haury's for a couple months, but it was really worth the wait. :)

Zach's Avus blue M3 looks killer and Rick's got a Dakar Yellow M3 that also is terrific....If you see either of those 2 M3's you will think Haurys is great...
I have heard several good referrals on Queen City too ...

Dude this is a thread from 2 years ago.

does that mean he can't ask a question about a body shop? in a thread about body shops?

While I've never had any experience of Aurora City.. I've heard good things about Aldercrest and Centers 3 up in Lynnwood.

You mean like the other thread he already created today regarding body shops?
