Ummm.....

Is it the front left of an E34 M5?

You should really buy the rest of it...

Are you on an installment plan or is it on lawaway? Are you buying the passenger-side headlights next?

now I just have to figure out how to get her in and out of my garage w/o scraping! she sits real low...but never bottoms out! amazing ride.

Pics don't do the car justice in terms of cleanliness and how amazing the paint (diamond black metallic) is still after 15 years as well as the interior!

Gunslinger: from google translation: Dear Nuerburgring as marriage ring

TireFryer: very nice m5! that thing looks mean! just wondering, what offset are the wheels? are you running spacers? i love how the wheels are flush with the fenders.

I believe the translation is something like:
"Love the Nurburgring like your wife"

Both F&R fenders are rolled, but the R fenders are also FLARED
Due to this, car is sitting on:
F: 235/45/17 on 17x8.5 w/ 10mm spacer
R: 255/40/17 on 17x10 w/ 25mm spacer

I am not too sure on the offset of the rims or what the OEM E34 M5 offset specs are on the orig rims. if you have this info, that would be of great interest to me :)

and yes, I love how the big meats are flush with the fenders. and the tires will not break no matter how hard I try and take a curve or turn...the big fatty tires love to stick (despite that they are almost bald!)...but them again, I have only logged on a modest 20 miles or so since I got it on Friday!

thanks! looks really nice!

stock 5er offset is ~20mm. those are rondells right? if so, the front's are probably 15mm and the rears are 20mm.

It means something like "I'd pick the nurburgring over a wedding ring"Yours is the closest, you just expanded the sentence a bit to make it clearer. :)

The closest I can think to translate it is "Prefer Nürburgring over marriage ring"

Have you or the car (or both) driven the Nurburgring?

Waiting for H1 HID bulbs and to be installed in my 90 535 soon.

And the closest translation to that sticker is: "Nurburgring AS wedding ring", but I think there is something else written on that sticker and that's why the firts word is not quite making sense with the whole phrase.

but I would lose the white writing on the tires. Reminds me too much of Nascar :nono

Great looking car! I would also get 18" wheels(those are 17"s, right?).
Did you import the car?

I saw quite a few cars with the same sticker last summer while visiting family in Germany. It basically means the driver prefers the Nürburgring to a marriage ring. It pokes fun at the guys who spend more on their cars than their significant others. :)

You are right.

I lived in Germany for 7 years, I'm sure some German guys here could back me up.

Lieber could mean "dear" or "rather" and "als" means "than"

It's pretty much for a guy who likes his cars better than the idea of marriage.

the headlights are smoked and are H1. the rear tails are also smoked. at night, I tell you what, the whole car glows! pure sex on wheels :D also, the car looks very sinister as you look at it just sitting, and proves itself as such once it purrs to life... the tires will be replaced soon enough as they are almost worn bald, although I might still stay with the avons as they STICK like no one's business! anyways, I will have to snap some interior pics to share soon.

happy ///Motoring! ;)

Hi Dan...
thanx man...it's good to have a Beast in my hands! love it!

No problem, I know how life sometimes gets the best of our times...been there, done that! When you get a chance, drop me a buzz.

I am already in the process of making ramps so I CAN get under the car to work on it...only thing being, they'll be about 20ft long! hehe ;) I already scraped the front going into my driveway and I had put a lot of thought into how to fix my driveway so this wouldn't happen... wouldn't you know it, the city decided to repave my street, and they were kind enough to even out my driveway with the street! :D which means no more scraping! yeah! :D

Anyways, only put a few miles on it since Friday (she hasn't left the garage since sunday due to weekend and now the repaving of the street)! AARRRGGGHHHH!!!

BTW, which going through the 2 boxes of "stuff" I got with the car, I came across what appeared to be 3.8 exhaust cam gears, and it was confirmed as such...which means, no need to order it, just need to decide if I am going to install it or not! oh well, plenty of time to do that later.

Enough of this chatter... time to finish my tea, finish reading my book, write out a goal sheet for tomorrow and Friday, read some more and then hit the sack! Dangit, I need more time to read...soo many books, so little time! :(

Looks awesome! Bet it is fun to drive. How many miles does it have? Is that the M-tech suspension?

SpecRaceM5
09-08-2005, 12:39 AM
Gotta admire a man who changes his driveway to fit his car.

As for the ramps I almost have to use them to lift mine. Actualy I do if I want to get the entire car on jack stands....either that or get the back up from the side which is kinda a wierd angle. I think we need to plan an M5 drive for next summer. Or even spring maybe. Some kinda road trip. :buttrock

Dude.... don't hate...appreciate! ;) hehe... I appreciate the sentiments, and all I can say is that I have been there, and done that. sometimes things just work out...like this time, and I am glad that it did! :D put another ~5 miles on her yesterday, and loved every mile of it...so much so, my 20 month old son in the back seat started making "Varooom" noises when the car was not moving (stopped at a light) and then saying "go go go dada!" priceless! I am trying to contain myself as my wife looks over at me and just rolls her eyes, like "oh boy, here we go again, another guy in the house who likes cars" at which point I bust out laughing out loud! ahhh, you know you are in the right car when even a 20 month old boy knows it is supposed to go "varoooom"! in defense of my wife, she took it out solo the night we got the car and came back with a grin on her face, much to HER surprise, saying that this car just screams "drive me fast and hard"... and she liked that! yippee!!!! :D it even brought out the speed demon in her which rox!

anyways, man, I need to get some sleep. *yawn*

As for your son, thats awesome, lol, I got into them when I picked up my first hammer at three and destroyed my dads radiator in our peugeot 505 during our cross country trip. :devillook We waited about a week and a half, in the middle of Utah, for a new one to come in.
