Please help finalizing alignment specs:
Front Camber: = X (~2.5 degrees (non adj.)
Front Toe: I want to try a bit of toe out. was recommended 1/16" toe out, but would that be per side or total!?
Rear Camber: X - 1 degree: where X = front camber
Rear Toe: ? uncertain do I run 1/4" Total Toe in or 3/16" Total Toe
I don't care about tire wear.

if you don't care about tire wear, you have way too little camber. try AT LEAST 3.5 front 3.0 rear.

don't have camber plates, just shimmed the struts.

What's your purpose? The setup depends on what you'll be doing.
I believe you can get to -3 or -3.5 in the front by running swapped 96+ strut hats. Not too expensive. Then you can max out the rear camber. Should be able to get close to -2.4.

I don't want to change my setup just yet, I will be working with what I already have in the front for camber.
as well this will be for AUTO-X

The toe numbers you quoted look like total toe, but of course anything is possible depending on what your car is doing, and what you are after.

Not to sound too repetitive but get as much as you can in the front and about 1 less degree in the back sounds about right.
I run 4 degrees on the front and about 3 in the back (I say "about" as I have a coupe which as the e30 style rear). I run 1/4 toe in the front and about 1/4 negative in the back. However that is specific to my car, driving style, suspension, and tires.
I know many E36 folks run 0 toe rear which helps with rotation.
