View Full Version : Active Stage 2 Turbo kit FS
///M3-Mike 09-05-2005, 02:39 PM I'm selling a used active stage 2 turbo kit ready to bolt on and go. All you'll need is possibly a new headgasket, i'm including my used one.. that i'm told is re-useable. And a small gasket here and there may be needed. *cheap*.
This kit comes with the frankenstein AA turbo, that i will have rebuilt upon purchase of the kit. You can also use any other new style turbo.. which i would recommend.. to get the most power for your money. Previous owner made 35x rwhp w/ this turbo. Was on Louis Perez monster turbo 332TI which is featured on aatuning.com's website.
The kit will need software, so you might as well upgrade as much as possible before getting software from AA. I'm including extra aa ford injectors.. 11 total. Also if the kit is going to be used on an OBD2 vehicle, i have 3 o2 simulators as well.
To the purchaser of the kit, i also have many many AA accessories that i will either sell at a discount to the buyer, or part out on here. Including aa water injection, DSB, apexi boost controller, VDO gauges, pod, AA flywheel, NX ntercooler sprayer, etc all new.
I'm looking to get 6k OBO. Keep in mind, this is much less than AA's stage 1 kit. Send me an email if your serious or IM me, price is negotiable.

alpinawhitem3 10-28-2005, 12:21 AM Are all the oil fittings there? Oil tee for oil to turbo/oil pressure sending unit? Oil tap for oil pan (oil return from turbo)?
Thats a lot of money too, for a used kit with out tuning. Especially since AA charges so much for just their tuning. Also the AA kit really isn't worth the
10k it costs in the beginning. For that price you could build your own kit and get a standalone and have it tuned(with way more hp) and have money left over...
Is that "Frankenstein" a mitsu? 60-1? 60-1=good turbo :buttrock
///M3-Mike 11-02-2005, 05:37 AM Haven't checked this thread in a bit.. the reasoning for the price is, i'm going to be offered less than my asking price regardless of what it is.. So its obviously OBO.. As stated, the kit will need s/w, and possibly a few small pieces. I never installed the kit, so i can only include complete pics of everything included. I was told its all there. To people who left thier emails, if your interested email me..

Jontepop 11-14-2005, 01:43 PM What 'generation' is this AA kit?
- Mitsu TD06 Turbo?
- Why haven't you used it?
- Why 11 injectors? We only need 6 :)
- How many miles has it run?
The Software costs about 1000$ at AA, so this kit will cost 6500$ used all together, + some more gaskets etc. That is quite much. I have seen other kits down to 2500-3500$ used less and missing some parts, like yours.
And your kit without the software and me needing to buy a new headgasket.. The price is getting more expansive then a AA Stage 1 Gen 3 kit. I belivie the difference between Stage 1 and Stage 2 is - Headgasket, ARP Studs, Software, and 3,5" HFM. So I think you got to drop your price if you want to sell this kit..
///M3-Mike 11-16-2005, 01:27 PM The price is or best offer, and its a gen 3 stage 2, i'm told the headgasket is reuseable, but IMO i'd just buy a new one. Considering they are relatively cheap.

I am going to change my headgasket now to a from VAC motorsport.
Send me pictures on mail then?

///M3-Mike 11-16-2005, 04:12 PM 1. Its AA's frankenstien Mitsu turbo. I believe its a Td06 with a different size compressor wheel. Call AA and they will explain it to you.
2. I was going to install, considering i almost amassed all the parts i'd need, but i don't have the means to install myself, and decided to purchase a home.
3. I was given 6 when i purchased it, but after buying a few extra pieces from the same seller(o2 simulators, aa dsb), he added the extra injectors becuase he no longer needed them. *He had about 3 of these kits* So they can just be spares.
4. If you go to aatuning.com under customer cars it was on louisperez's "monster" 318ti. he ran it for 2 years/6k miles.. the car mostly sat in florida while he lived in NY. Until he swapped to a bigger, built motor setup.
///M3-Mike 11-16-2005, 11:16 PM By the way, to the previous poster mentioning you can find a nearly complete AA stage 2 gen 3 kit for 2500-3500 including all the parts mine does, please give me some links. Thanks ------Mike
