Anyone researched what are the lightest aftermarket reclineable seat options available that fit the E36 M3? Prefer ones with a sub strap hole. Budget is under $1k each.

This is to replace the passenger Vader. Have a fixed bucket for the driver, but need a reclineable for the passenger side to allow easy access for rear passengers/loading. And my gf likes to recline to snooze sometimes. As if my driving puts her to sleep? ;)

I think Bimmerworld sells a bracket that flips forward so you could use a shell on the passenger side too.

Haven't researched it, but my old MOMO Street Racer GT was pretty light. I'd imagine a lot would depend on surface covering and how intricate the adjustable parts are.

I believe my Corbeau TR1's (out of production--I think?) are 23#'s a peice as well--more of a sports seat, great for daily use.

The Sparcos all come in around 30 lbs. for a recliner.

I'm running the Sparco Torinos, haven't weighed them but they felt pretty damn light to me.

36 lbs by the Sparco price guide and dimension chart.
