I like the older M5s better. The early 90s was a rough time for all non-3 series BMWs in my opinion.

the fact that car had about the same power as my old e36 and the fact that the internals of its motor cost more than life...it doesn't turn me on one bit..

i never said it wasn't clean :)

my mechanic had one for a while and he redid the entire motor..the car made crazy horsepower but he spent so much money on the internals..for example pistons cost close to 6 times the price of e36 m3 pistons...

A better example might be the difference in price of brake pads,o2 sensors, adjusting the valves and other parts that someone will change throughout the lifetime of a e34 m5.

lol Pistons? How many times will you need to buy some pistons for a car?(except for those of us who blow motors :( )

(btw, I know the car is not cheap to maintain) ;)
