ok i jut installed a set of component speakers, i hooked up the crossovers to them also.... hooked up the crossovers to the amp and hooked up power and the ground and the remote and now i get no sound? i left the mids on the stock amp so only the mids and the sub work... what could be wrong? i have an alpine 9845 HU aswell

you hook the signal wires up to the amp? no mention of this in your post.

does the amp turn on?

yes amp has power the lil light is on i also have the rca cables hooked up aswell

is your gain turned all the way down?

start turning the knob that is usually 0 through a bigger number like 9 or 10 clockwise, or another one that is usually a negative number and then the same number positive. That would be the gain.

upping that may help catch the other speakers up to the volume of the other ones (seems like arent playing but turned down so low you just don't notice.)

alright i was turning a bunch of the settings on the back with no luck this morning but when i get out of work at 5 ill give it a try, other than that can u think of any other thing that may be stopping them from working?

i have the next q.12 amp or something like that, what type of "pass" do i set it on? bass boast or no bass boost? thanks!

turn the crossover off? how do i do that? theres a lil switch in there 0db,-3db,-6db thats all.....

well heres the story i got back in the car after work yesterday an the HU started smoking so i took it back and got the 9847, but anyways back to the no sound problem i just wired the speakers back to the stock amp for the time being ill post pics of the wiring i did when i get home this evening maybe i did something wrong? thanks for the replies tho!
