I am concerned about not buying BMW struts and shocks. KYB says these work just like OEM, they have the EDC and leveling electronic controls.

Anyone tried these? How did it turn out?

Ehhhhh, what year is your car because I'll be damned if I've found a replacement for the OEM ones for an E38.
