i went to florida and when i got back my speakers and sub arent as loud and clear as they where when i left. any ideas? thanks

by your description, it merely sounds like whatever equalizer settings you had have gone back to flat...

maybe the amp over heated and got damaged.

not the same but the pioneer HU in my saturn works fine but when i go on a long trip and i'm continuiosly playing cd's it goes into protection mode after about 1.5 hours when i try to play a cd it just says "HEAT" on the display and wouldn't play until it cools down.

maybe the continuos use of the amp caused it to over heat.
we need more info.
