Two nights ago when I turned off my headlights I got a warning to check the low beams. I did so and learned that one headlight was off. The next morning, when the car was running, I gently jiggled the leads to he low beam bulb. The headlight failed. Now both are out.

The owner's manual said to check the fuses. When I opened up the fuse box under the hood, I could not determine which fuse corresponds to the low beams. The fuse box in the trunck also did not appear to have a low beam fuse. I called BMW of Riverside (CA) and they could not tell me which fuse corresponded to the low beams. They said to bring it in.

A couple questions:
1. Does anyone know which fuse I need to check?
2. Does a failure of this sort indicate a major problem (note that the hi beams work)?

Thanks for any input,
Erik

are these halogen or HID bulbs...and did you check to see if they are burnt out?
Aren't the headlights controlled by the LKM (light control module)?

I guess I've only asked more questions. :D :devillook :D
