Alot depends on what the cars are selling for in your market. Here, dealers are holding about $1000-1200 over dealer cost depending on options. But some places are charging sticker in other markets. :mad With that in mind, I could sell you the car for $37,800. MSRP of your car is $39,025. That's a $1225 discount.

As far as advice goes, if they don't want to discount the car that much, you should talk to me. :D And if you have a trade, be ready to get a much lower figure that what you anticipated. The pre-owned car market sucks right now thanks to everyones "buy a car for employee prices". I had a 2003 fully loaded suburban come in for trade appraisal, only had 23,000 miles on it. Sticker on the car was close to 50K and they are selling at auction for $18k. The guy laughed at me and said there's no way that's right. Untill I showed him the auction report that had an '04 with less mileage that went for the same price. If you can buy a $50k car new for $40k, guess what happens to the fairly new pre-owned cars? You got it, price goes waaaaayyyy down. Why buy a 2 year old car for 35k when you can get a brand new one for $40. It's just a really bad trade market right now.

GOOD LUCK!

Oh yeah I forgot to mention that if you're not buying a car on the lot, and it's an order car going to be built in september or later, you have to add $600 to the MSRP. Prices went up on anything ordered after July 20th. I would add $550 to my selling price.
