So I went to the junk yard today, no luck with any above 85mph speedo. But, I found a cool e30 Steering wheel, it was $5 so I grabbed it, will it fit onto the e21? I still need to find a center logo/button for it, thats what it was missing. But besides that, will it fit?

There is a 1982 320i that I see around town(total beater) withan e30 steering wheel like this.
I am not sure how they got it to fit.
(Let me know if the image does not work.)

Well oh well, $5 down the tube. I dont really know the steering wheel setup myself, never messed with it. So I just though $5, what the heck.

The e30 and e21 splines are very different.
It will not work...- unless you fab up an adaptor for the e30 hub to fit on the e21.
Manny with the e21 widebody did this.
he said "normal rules dont apply for me." :)
But for just about everyone else, forget the e30 wheel, grab the right one for the e21.
Momo also makes an adaptor for the e21 wheels. I have a momo hub, and champion wheel.

The BFH is your friend. I could make it fit, screw an adapter...

Brandon Whitehead has a 79 323i bmw and had an e30 steering wheel. Brandon's car is the same color and spoilers as my 323i. He was going home one day,
turned the wheel hard, and the thing came off...
The splines of the e21 and e30 are way different, and IMO its not worth the risk of some stuff happening.
Imagine a spirted jaunt of 100 plus mph, weaving and ripping threw traffic...and as you accelerate the whole wheel comes off...
Its not worth it. Buy the right stuff

i'm pretty sure CJ was referring to hitting up a machine shop and fabricating a custom hub for the E30 wheel. i'm sure it's just a matter of aligning holes up
