As far as I know it was just made in prototype form. Would be great if they had been made, though..

I wonder how difficult a customization such as this would be. I guess the easiest way to do this would be to use the a 2002 touring rear hatch area and try to weld it to an E21 shell.

Theres 3 tourings that I know of. BMW has two now that it baught back one they sold to a private customer. What about a Baurer top on a e21 would that not suffice in ugliness?

See that looks cool and all. But it looks a little more like a wagon than a hatchback. Kinda like the E36 touring to E36 ti. I kinda want the ti more. But i do think that is kinda cool too. Kudos on the find.

I think it looks more like an e21 off-road vehicle. Like if BMW made a Bronco. Not that I'd kick it out of my driveway. Imagine the looks on peoples' faces at the next Bimmerfest if you rolled up in this thing...complete with a 2" drop, a nice set of wheels and a turbo m20 ;)

That sounds sick. I don't know if I would lower it too much though. Just enough so that it has a small gap between the tire and fender lip. I know some people were disgusted by this thread, but I think a wagon is still better than the pick up truck E21 that was on eBay.de that has been floating around these forums lately.

There are stranger things than the e21 pickup. Witness the e24 pickup. It's crazy...over here a stock Euro 6 is something to write home about. This is....I don't know what to think of this car. I guess if your roof has just been destroyed by a fallen tree...and you have a broken-down rabbit pickup lying around to supply the bed, you may as well whip out the welder and make something like this.
