It looks like it's shaping up to be a pretty good series. Very close times in testing; given its a spec series, but nonetheless. The first race is less than a month away.
Team USA topped the charts with Scott Speed at the last test at Paul Ricard :cool
What's the excitment? It looks like any other open-wheel spec series to me. Do you think we'll see the "top" drivers from each country there?

Dude you must be joking right? How many 500+ horsepower open wheel series do you know of? It might not be a hit here (yet) in the US but everywhere else, people are extremely excited. I think after the San Antonio and Laguna Seca events, people will be more aware (and prolly excited about...) of the series.
I was able to meet with the A1 Team Pakistan when I was in Karachi this March. Nur Ali is one of the drivers.

Verstappen will be driving, along with pretty much all of the up and comers...neel jani, alex premat, piquet jr, and speed. Firman will also be driving.
I'm interested to see how Willi Webber will stack up against them. :rolleyes

Looks like Scott got a better offer for next year.
3rd (test) driver for Red Bull
Yeah, way to go Scott...

Is it possible that Red Bull will let Speed drive in the '06 U.S. GP, assuming the main two drivers are not in serious points contention?

Yeah, I guess Colin Flemming will be driving now.
Not joking, but sounds like another feeder for F1. The top guns are in F1, no doubt. Anything else is for "rising" stars.
Looks like a great idea, all spec cars, and different countries, but I don't think they will battle for country pride, they want to get a seat in F1 eventually.
I'll just seat in the corner and watch the season unfold, only time will tell.
