Hey guys. Looking to convert one of two 320s to a 5 speed manual. I understand the 5 speed of an 83 is just the 4 speed, with an extra overdrive gear and shorter driveline. If anyone has these, just gimme a hollar, although shipping would be a beast.

If anyone has experience with this, id love to get some help. Thanks.

The 320s are 77 and 79.

the 77-79 was a 4 speed (2 sections), 80-82 is the 4 speed with an extra section with the overdrive unit added in (3 sections), and the 83 5 speed is an entirely new unit with a shorter case and only 2 sections.

i thought i had a 4 speed until last week until i found reverse, and 5th and couldnt figure it out until i could drive it.

I didn't think you had a four speed. :)

whats funny is my old boss thought it had a 4 speed in it too, i guess since its so hard to get it into 5th
