I want to purchase replica m5 mirrors w/ the autofold feature. I know that I also need the switch from BMW to use the autofold feature. My question is, if I purchase the replica m5 mirrors w/ the autofold feature and get the switch from BMW, is it just plug and play, or do I need to run new wiring so that I can use the autofold feature? tom has a set on his 540.. his sn is 318qship. ive seen them, and they dont look that bad. they fold up and have that double mirror thing. pretty cool IMO.

I posted this on your other thread for the same topic. It looks as though you only need to run new wires if you want them to dim with your rear view.
