Hi,
Thanks for your post.

The Autoenginuity tool does NOT reset the SRS lights.
Only the Check Engine Light.

To reset the SRS light, you need this tool that we carry:

Hope this helps!

Thanks!

Jeff,
Yeah, I guess we can do that, drop the price by $15 perhaps... I'll see what I can do next week. In the mean time, if anyone is interested, let me know.

Vincent, is there a cheaper version scan tool, used just for resetting the CEL and reading the codes? I don't need all this USB stuff.

Hi
There is a cheaper version, its the Peake Scan tool for $138.95
http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=408504
(we have a free shipping offer on that too)

As for the AE tool, there is the "older" version which has a serial port connection for $206.95

Steve,
thanks for the order :)

I noticed you order one for the 2001-2003, And I see you have a 1995, Would you want me to switch to the 87-2000 tool? Just wanted to make sure you are not buying it for another car. :)

Vincent, I'm interested. How do I order this? One more question, it would do everything like the Peake Tool right (except for SRS reset)? Plus, are upgrades free? Thanks for the response.

Steve, I will update it for you :)

Jeff, We will give you a link for it :) It is pretty much the same as Peake but its requires a laptop, gives you extra stuff (see screen shots) and you are right, does NOT reset the SRS light (if you need to reset the SRS light, we do have a Peake tool for that) Software upgrades are free through Autoenginuity.

No questions at all... hooked it up and it does what it says. It is way better than the Peake code reader. No need to decipher the codes, it has a database of all the codes and tells you exactly what it is reading.
