I know this has been covered before but what difference is there between the standard and the is becides, badge delete, steering wheel , recaros, spoiler, LSD, and wheels? i found an rusted out but suposudly mechanicly sound is for 800. it has suspension work done, poly bushings and eibach springs with bilstien sports. i think ill buy it but i want to be sure that everything else is the same. Also does the is have a better trans? - chris

The 320i and the 320iS have identical engines and transmissions. The only big performance difference is suspension. But that doesn't make a difference on this one since it is all custom suspension. It sounds like a decent car. But I think I would offer the owner about 500 and go from there. Kudos on the find and good luck.

i think i may have to give him the 800 he wants it also has a full mb quart sound system in it. i highly doubt he will take less but i may try depending how bad the rust is. - chris
