I am debating on selling my car, or dropping in a '97 M3 motor. My M50 is perfect but I want more power and easier upgradeability. Here are the specs of my car now:

'95 525i M50 w/manual 5 speed 170,000 miles (runs and idles perfect!)
alpine white with 1 small dent on front passenger fender
K&N drop in
Bilstein Sports and Vogtland springs (500 miles on them)
New strut mounts and bearings all around
New 750il bushings and thrust arms
Euro molding all around
M5 plate bracket
Tan interior (power seats work perfect)
Very clean car and interior!
Clear corners and fender blinkers
18x8 Chrome M par's w/ new Nankang NS/2 tires
Brand new JVC motorized adjustable cd head unit
ACS Roundels
Yellow H1 fogs
Oil changed every 3,000 miles religiously

I love that car! Is that a little bump in the trunk? You are sooo far away. But I have never been to Southern CA. Kind of a shame to part that out. Not serious are you?

I either want to sell it and/or part it. The bump in the trunk has been pulled along with all the other dings. It is a VERY clean '95!

The miles will drive away most buyers.

I would sell it as it sits. Parting it out, you'ld basically only see some money for the wheels/tires and springs/struts.

I was thinking ~$4500. The market for them around here is pretty low. I was offered a black '95 with 120k miles for $5k and passed on it.

Insert the M3 motor and you'll have a great Q-Ship sleeper whicg will catch people way off guard. That e34 is too clean to let go.

You can also try doing what I'm about to do. Put it up for sale for the highest realistic price. See if anybody is interested. For me, if I can't sell mine for $4500, I will keep it, and give it a new engine in the future, possibly an S50. I mean, could you really find a car that's as good as this one in this price range? If I sell mine, I will add a few more grand and buy an E39 528

I want to get rid of it and do an E39 or E36. Anyone need some parts :D

how about the photoshop over the rear model emblem. Show it. Is it badged as a 540?

I did the p-shop over the badge since there was another dent there which was recently pulled. Car has been debadged for about 4 months now and pic was taken less than 1 month ago...Don't hate :rolleyes

I do not want to sell little items like the fog light bulbs since they only cost $30 new.
