I was cruising back to the beer distributer to return the two empty kegs in my trunk (yes they will fit, even with a 6 disk changer) and as i pull up to a light a white 2nd gen. RX-7 pulls up next to me. I dont even glance over and hes revving his engine. Green light and i ease away with him right next to me. I think forget it....and slam the hammer, he reacts almost instantly as well and i hear his turbo spool and a nice little blast from his BOV. By the end of 2nd gear im a 2 cars ahead and by the end of 3rd im 3 or 4. I shift to 4th, let off, and give a little wave as he rushes past. If he was anywhere near stock this isnt all that impressive, but a kills a kill, especially when he asked for it.

It is funny when someone else wants some and drives like crap and looses. Not saying that it is a 100% chance of a fd winning vs a e36 m3, but it shoulda been ALOT closer than it was. He sucked at driving or his car has issues.
Nice slap in his face either way. :rofl

he said 2nd gen, meaning fc, not fd.
Nice run. I wonder if he really had anything done. I ran one once and it wasn't even close.

Definately was a second gen. It would have to be a sick 3rd gen for him to pull away. ;) I have a little experience with the rx7s.
However, I will be buying a M3 for a daily in the next couple weeks. :redspot

similar thing happend to me two weeks ago(i think). it was also a 2nd gen and he kept tryin to get me to play light after light letting me hear his BOV. that BOV was loud and was gettin annoying so i decided that at the next light, i would go. from a 1st gear roll we went and it wasn't even close afterwards. no ricer fly-by aftwerwards, he just stayed as far back as he could. :D anyways, good kill. i know if it was the FD rx-7, it would be a different story, but hey a kil is a kill. good job! :redspot

FCs are nice, but not very impressive. At least stock. They can be modded, but what car can't? But heck, he probably just wanted to see how his ride compared to an e36 m3. But good race, and like stated, a kills a kill.
