Redfoot: The Philly types met at the PM Ikea last time and drove up. The Pub is in Bethlehem.

Glenn - figure out a free weekend - cant have a meet without Short Round.

BUT... we're all forgetting the most important aspect to all of this...

WILL THE PUMPKIN ALE BE AVAILABLE ON THIS DATE AND HOW MUCH AM I ALLOWED TO TAKE OUT OF THE BREWERY?

It's at the Bethlehem Brewworks in Bethlehem, PA....Lehigh Valley area...awesome place. Great food, beer, and atmosphere. There have been 3 BBW Meets thus far and all of them have had a great turn out.

Ok so I'm down of course.

I'm guessing this requires taking the Northeast Extension, also known as the stock E36 M3 wheel killer road. Is Bethlehem south of Allentown, because Allentown is where the road starts getting bad and all 3, yes 3, wheels that I've bent since I bought my car in April have be on trips up to the Ithaca, NY area on the Northeast Extension. I really hate the NE Extension after Allentown so please tell me we get off of it before then.

Would anybody be down for changing the location. We could all go to New Hope, PA, and go to Triumph Brewery. Great beer, great location, and the road to New Hope off of 95 is through the country side, has some twisty turnies, and is probably one of the smoothest paved roads in PA. If you have never been New Hope, its got a great night life. Tons of outdoor bars with live music, and you can smoke cigars at the outdoor bars as well. Great cigar shop called little Havana. You always see lots of exotic cars up there on the weekends too. I thought it would be a great place to go before the summer is totally gone. And if we waited till October, I think the place is dead and all the outdoor stuff closes down. Great place too for drinking if you're not quite of age. They're pretty lax on all that stuff because the town thrives on people drinking and having a good time. There would also be tons of great places to get some photos of all the cars too.
And if you're worried about the pumpkin ale being ready yet, we could save the brewery up in Bethlehem for October.

Anyway just thought I would bring it up since the next meet up is still several weeks away and nothing has been set in stone. If not, then maybe we could still try to hit up New Hope in October. Triumph Brewery up there has great beer. :alright

If we're starting to spread to new breweries, I'd still like to put together a meet at the Appalachian Brewing Company here in Harrisburg. Before too long we could have a rotating brewery tour, a different one each month. :buttrock We could start venturing down to, is it Capitol City Brewing or something like that in Baltimore? Anyway we'll have to start expanding our brewery selection.

Oh, and we need to do a group tour of the Yuengling brewery in Pottsville. Anyone who hasn't been through there deserves to see it.

Yeah, I go to Drexel. We are on quarters (terms) instead of semesters. It's 2 terms for school (6 months) then 2 terms of internship (6 months). When I'm finished my accounting final today, I'll have 3 weeks off before my internship. thanks for the offer, but I'm looking for a sedan. I found two already that are candidates. One is in upstate NY and has higher mileage, but exactly the color combo i wanted. Another is in jersey with lower mileage, but with grey interior :(
There's a chance I might pass on both of them since I'd rather wait for the perfect one to pop up locally.

I originally wanted silver since I love my silver 328i so much. Now I've been thinking about the other colors. Techno violet, hellrot, imola, and estoril are viable options. I like dakar, but I don't think its for me.

Not sure what I'm going to be doing for the next 3 weeks :( I wish my internship would start already so I can make money.

Mike, I am not quite sure about the afterhours deal, I say we just wing it.

Speaking of timing and whatnot, are we doing this more of a mid-day thing? Like around 2-3 Meet and like 4pm eat? That way our odds of getting a table are much better.

Lol! Silly Philly. I'm a really big fan of all the Philly teams for one reason and one reason only: they're choke masters and they lose. I wear my Phillies hat with pride and when people say "you like the Phillies eh?" I flip my hat around to the printed 1979, and say "yep, because this is the last time they won the world series." WILL THE PUMPKIN ALE BE AVAILABLE ON THIS DATE AND HOW MUCH AM I ALLOWED TO TAKE OUT OF THE BREWERY?
a growler... $2 + cost of beer... it's like 60oz. they should have it by October, so maybe by late september they might have tapped it or are getting ready to.

:alright
If you bastards go to New Hope and I can't make it I'll be pissed (as usual).

God, I have to get back to PA.

On that note, Triumph is awesome too. Went to a P-Car meet and also my 5th HS reunion party there, and the beer at BBW is only a bit better.

either way, fun places. Do the meet October 8th in New hope or Bethlehem and I'm in...

yeah, well I'm going to do a lot of driving, not a lot of much else. life's been a little crazy up here.

karate camp? I'm surprised we didn't discuss this when I saw you last... ha.

too bad, atleast you get the beer meet, a much better option.

I only started up karate 3 months ago :D I was going to be on the team for national championships, but it was going to be held in New Orleans and that isn't happening.

karate camp??? Hi-yA!!!!! j/k ... your asian rob, you inherantly know martial arts...its genetic.

So maybe that's why I'm ahead of all the other beginners ;) During my first kyu exam, the master was so impressed he let me skip a belt level :buttrock
