My car specs, S52 M roadster, shark, magnaflows, cosmos intake

I finally have the time to write up a couple of run ins ive had in the last bit...The first was a night time run with what i thought was a regular G wagon...Im sittin at a red light in the left lane with a silver G wagon in the right lane, well i just briefly looked over at it and took note of the stupidly oversized wheels the owner had put on it and looked back straight ahead. The light turns green i roll off and dont even take off fast at all, i shift to second lazily and then look over as the G wagon lurches forward like a bat outta hell, i immediately floored it(bogged it, haha) in 2nd and finally matched speeds but hell, i was wasnt pulling after i got to his rear quarter, i was so amazed by how that SUV was staying up on me i hit the limiter in second before shifting to 3rd and i finally started gaining on him but traffic was coming up and we had to brake, i got up beside him to give him the thumbs up and he looked over and smiled and chuckled, I woulda done the same if i was him. I got over behind him and what do ya know, its a AMG G55... I woulda liked to have run him again because i shoulda been in 1st gear when we took off, but the heat of the moment got to me and i just floored it in 2nd...Im sure i woulda took him had that been the case cause i have raced a turbo cayenne before on the highway and always pulled and the cayennes are sposed to be faster i think...He took the next turn off and i didnt see him again...

The next run was a daytime run with a grey S2000. I was on my way to murfreesboro when i see a s2000 up in front with a single exhaust pipe, i thought that was weird and got up close behind him to take a look and sure enough it only had 1 pipe, it was WAY louder than any s2000 i had heard before, so i figured if i could run with this modified one then a stock one should be no trouble. I got up beside him and gave him a wave and we both started down shiftin, i went to third, im not sure what gear he was in. We goosed it a few times then he nailed it and so did i, he pulled about three feet on me because he took off first but i immediately got it back and then i slowly inched away, we went to the top of 4th before we shut down because of traffic and he was at my back bumper. We exchanged thumbs up and went on.

What is a G wagon? Is that the big Land Rover box looking SUV mercedes has? if so, I never knew they made an AMG of that.

Many S2000's get one exhaust when they modify their stock exhaust. Stock they have a Y pipe and two tips. So really they have single exhaust anyways. Sometimes they'll get two aftermarket mufflers, or they'll lose the Y pipe and get a single catback. Chances are what you raced, was just a catless S2000, and other than that it was stock.

yep, dual side pipes and all too - magazines rated it at just under 8 seconds to 60 mph......not terrible for a 6,000 lbs truck!

Those wagons put a hurt'n on the Turbo'd cayenne for some reason. Anything that reads AMG decklid can't be taken lightly. AMG E55 stationwagon pulled a 12.1 1/4 mile with a 4.1 0-60 in C&D last month. A freak'n station wagon!!

:buttrock I saw that! Although it's mercedes, that thing is still a sleeper. That car would destroy tons of other cars, but if you were revved at by a station wagon would you be intimidated? Haha, that thing was sweet!
