I enjoy lurking on this board and reading some of the stories. Reminds me of when I had not a care in the world and went out on a Friday night looking for a race, alas now I am married with two kids and must be a responsible adult and not race every guy I see from light to light. I own two BMWs an E30 M3 track car and an M Coupe. I am constantly plagued by boy racers in their rice rockets driving one foot off my rear bumper or revving their motor at a light. Usually I pay them no mind and continue at my normal pace.
Enough of me being a boring old man on to my story. I had just picked up my Kumho V710 and mounted them on the M3 and wanted to scrub them in a little. So as usual some kids driving one foot off my bumper pull next to me at a light and takes off. At the next light they are laughing. I pull off the main road to a street of nice twisties, they follow. Again driving up my butt. I had enough besides in my book drag racing is not what BMWs are all about. I speed up through the turns and can hear his tires squeal trying to stay with me and I am just warming up. The kid chose the wrong day to mess with this old man. I increase speed for the next turn, apex it perfect and accelerate out of the turn. Ricer boy follows my line in, tries to hold the line but his tires can't hold and he understeers across the road compounded by his continued turn in, no skill. Has he had enough? Of course not after all young and stupid go hand in hand. he speeds up in the strait and assumes his previous position a few feet off my bumper. I take a left hander fast and hard he has not learned from the previous turns. His tires squeal, he continues giving more steering input and begins to do what front wheel drive does best, understeer, but this time there is no oncoming lane to drift into and he goes off the road into the grass. I slow down and turn back. The kid and his friend standing in front of the car holding a piece of his front spoiler with a dejected look on their faces. I drive by and laugh to myself. :mechstuck

He was probably too young to know that he was not the king of the road in his honda (typeR or SiR). Nice little lesson you taught him.

ahhh, ricers with stickers. I don't understand them. i've seen Toyota Celicas with V-Tec Tuning stickers on their car. :nono

I mean can't they even match the right brand with the right technology? :confused
